Creator of Fantastic Novels and Tales

Under the pen name R. Edward Main, Dr. Main has published the award-winning  science fiction short story, "Flesh Games" and the five star rated science fiction novel, Maiden Voyager.  He has given presentations on writing to Fiction Writers of Salem and to groups of high school students.  He is currently marketing four other completed novels and over a dozen short stories.  Dr. Main has found his training in psychology and sociology to be a distinct advantage in getting into the minds and hearts of the characters he creates.

Crafter of Limerick Ambushes

Dr. Main's limericks take aim at a variety of social ills and irritations, always with a surprise twist that is guaranteed to bring a smile to your lips or an outright belly laugh.  His limericks have been published in the San Diego Writer's Magazine and in the San Diego Political Watch.  He has given readings of his limericks at Jackson's Bookstore in Salem, OR, and they have been broadcast on a local TV station.
